CPV/CCV/GIA Antigen Rapid Test Card (10 Tests)

Easy-to-use, in-house test kit, providing rapid, accurate results to aid in the diagnosis of gastrointestinal disease in dogs as a result of canine parvovirus and/or canine coronavirus and/or giardia.

Test type: Immunochromatographic assay

Test target:

• Canine parvovirus (CPV) antigen
• Canine coronavirus (CCV) antigen
• Giardia (GIA) antigen

Appropriate sample type: Fresh faeces

Sensitivity (quantifies a test’s ability to identify true positives):

• CPV antigen: 97.85%
• CCV antigen: 97.85%
• Giardia (GIA) antigen: 97.85%

Specificity (quantifies a test’s ability to identify true negatives):

• CPV antigen: 98.00%
• CCV antigen: 98.00%
• Giardia (GIA) antigen: 98.00%

Results available: 5-10 minutes*

Clinical notes:

• Positive results should be further confirmed with PCR testing and/or other appropriate diagnostic methods.
• Clinical signs should always be considered alongside test results when making a diagnosis.
• Test may give a false positive result in animals that have received a live attenuated vaccination containing the test target within the 10 days prior to samples being collected.
• Test may give a false positive result in animals treated with monoclonal antibodies specific to the test target.
